"Building Materials, Health and Indoor air Quality - No Breathing Space?" The new book from Tom Woolley.

Which is the impact of building materials and construction methods on our wellbeing and health? Tom Woolley, British architect, author and professor, gives an answer to this question in his new book Building Materials, Health and Indoor Air Quality – No Breathing Space? Published on October 5th by Routledge.

In this book, which is 214 pages long, Professor Woolley covers a range of issues, such as indoor air quality and emissions, healthy building theories, ventilation and air conditioning, radiation and radon, damp and mold, cancer, carcinogens and endocrine disorders, ecological alternatives as well as approaches and remedies for “sick” buildings.

Not only gives Woolley essential information to understand the importance of quality construction materials and healthy buildings, but the book also provides clear explanations of EU international guidelines, certifications (such as natureplus) and regulation, representing an indispensable guide for architects, public health professionals, facilities managers, environmentalists and all those who are willing to better understand the topic of healthy buildings.

The book is available on both paperback and hardback and can be purchased at this link: (see below)
