Who we are?
natureplus e.V. is a non-profit environmental and consumer organization committed to the transformation of the construction industry. It is an equally and democratically organized association of construction professionals, experts, and civil society organizations across many European countries.

Our Goal & Our Tasks
Our goal is to inform and educate about sustainable building materials. Together with our growing and diverse membership base, we aim to bring about a shift towards sustainable building materials.
A transformation of the construction sector is only possible with sustainable building materials. Therefore, we provide information on the sustainability-specific properties of building products to professionals, decision-makers, and the general public. We also use various tools to support the practical application of this knowledge.
Political frameworks are essential for a fundamental shift in building materials. Therefore, we actively participate in scientific and political discussions, advocating for the acceptance and promotion of sustainable building materials across Europe.
With the natureplus eco-label, we certify building products that are resource-efficient, climate-friendly, and promote healthy living. This provides guidance on products that help establish a sustainable building culture.
natureplus e.V. addresses practical and fundamental questions related to the materiality, usability, and ecology of building materials.
Association Structure
The natureplus association is structured around its General Assembly and Board, as well as various commissions and committees. The overall management of the natureplus association is handled by the Executive Management, appointed by the Board.

Members & General Assembly
The general assembly is the association's supreme body. It is convened at least once a year and decides on all matters submitted to it, such as the establishment and amendment of the statutes, the election and removal of board members, and the approval of business reports and financial plans.
Currently, natureplus has 120+ members from the following sectors:
Environmental Organizations
Trade Unions
Building Product Manufacturers
Research, Scientific, and Testing Institutes
Construction and Housing Industry
Building Product Dealers
Consumer and Health Organizations
Board
Board members are elected by the general assembly for a two-year term. The board elects a chairman, a deputy chairman, and a treasurer from among its members. The eight-member board includes representatives from all groups involved in or affected by the construction process.
