The association-led project "UmBauwende" is funded by the German Environment Agency and runs from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2026. The primary goal of the project is to intensify the dissemination of targeted knowledge regarding the use of existing building stock. In this context, the use of sustainable building materials for the transformation and design of existing structures plays a key role, and we aim to highlight their potential. Our main target groups include construction professionals, such as architects, civil engineers, energy consultants, and students, as well as building owners and decision-makers in the municipal, urban, and private sectors.

The project aims to raise general awareness of the topic and provide accessible, practical solutions. Furthermore, we seek to foster exchange between experts in the field and those who are new to the subject of sustainable renovation. To this end, we offer a variety of formats, including online and in-person events, the provision of information materials and graphics, a digital exchange platform, and accessible knowledge sharing via our social media channels.
